Researchers at the Pacific Research Station, USDA Forest Service (USFS) partnered with the Aquatic and Riparian Effectiveness Monitoring Program (AREMP) using multigene eDNA metabarcoding to inventory the biodiversity of 150 watersheds in the Pacific Northwest: including streams in Washington, Oregon and Northern California from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. Sites are in small streams on USFS and Bureau of Land Management land that are monitored as part of the Northwest Forest Plan. On the same sequence run, there was a smaller project focused on 14 streams on the Olympic Experimental State Forest with samples collected by Washington Department of Natural Resources. This bioproject contains the DNA sequences that will serve as the raw data source for subsequent publications. This work was funded mainly by the USFS, but some support also came from NCASI. This submission contains the reads for the eDNA samples collected in 2016.
