Bajau Learners

Data of Bajau learners as minority group in mainstream classes. This data includes grades of students and interview transcripts. We report how a minority group specifically the bajaus value education and how they are performing in main stream schools. Our investigation has found that this ethnic group are able to perform in comparison with the majority of the students in a class, despite their experiences of discrimination and constant struggle with hunger. We also report their certain ingroup and out-group behaviours in their schooling.

主流课堂中巴瑶（Bajau）少数民族学习者数据集。本数据集包含学生成绩与访谈转录文本。本研究记录了巴瑶这一少数群体的教育价值取向，以及他们在主流学校中的学业表现。调查发现，尽管该族群长期遭受歧视且持续面临饥饿困境，但其学业表现仍可与班级内多数学生比肩。本研究同时分析了该群体在校期间的部分内群体与外群体行为。
