To elucidate the mechanism by which sST2 contributes to aortic disease, human aortic smooth muscle cells were exposed to recombinant sST2 and angiotensin II. Cells were allocated to two 24-hour treatment groups(n = 3): angiotensin II alone or the combination of recombinant sST2 plus angiotensin II, followed by RNA-seq analysis.
