In 2015 we interviewed 2331 households in the Trifinio region (comprising El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras) for the baseline of the project "Crowdsourcing crop improvement: Evidence base and Outscaling model". The project focus on the application of two crop improvement interventions in smallholder agriculture. This survey was performed to understand the state of families participanting in the project. We focus on common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) the main pulse cultivated in Central America. Data collection follow a standardised survey for the characterisation of rural households for climate adaptation interventions. This dataset contains the socio-economic and farm management information of these households.
