Standardization of sample collection methods for the respiratory and gut microbiome in commercial turkeys

Results of a turkey gut microbiome sampling workshop conducted jointly by researchers from the Ohio State University and the University of Minnesota. Over the course of two days, both sets of researchers collected gut samples using their preferred techniques for comparisons of relative sampling efficiency. Respiratory microbiome data were also collected using methods devised by OSU.

本数据集为俄亥俄州立大学（Ohio State University）与明尼苏达大学（University of Minnesota）研究人员联合举办的火鸡肠道微生物组采样工作坊的相关成果。本次工作坊为期两天，双方研究人员分别采用各自惯用的实验技术采集肠道样本，以对比不同采样方法的相对效率。此外，研究团队还采用俄亥俄州立大学（OSU）开发的方法采集了呼吸道微生物组相关数据。
