Ancient Chinese Sky-Blue Celadon Vase with Handles and Underglaze Carved Decoration

This research presents a comprehensive diagnostic study of an imperial celadon-glazed porcelain vase attributed to the Qianlong period (1736–1795) of the Qing dynasty. The object is a globular vase with tall neck, twin handles, and carved underglaze dragon motifs, covered with a transparent bluish celadon glaze (tianlan, 天蓝).The study applies multi-level methods:Macroscopic analysis of form, relief carving, base, and reign mark.Instrumental colorimetry (RGB, HSV, CIELab) to identify the glaze within the sky-blue celadon category.Microscopic examination confirming crystalline inclusions, phase-separated Pb–Si–K domains, and structural coloration effects.Comparative study with documented imperial pieces in the Palace Museum (Beijing), National Palace Museum (Taipei), and major auction catalogues.

本研究针对一件传为清代乾隆时期（1736–1795年）的御窑青釉瓷瓶开展系统性鉴定研究。该器物为长颈球腹双耳瓶，装饰釉下刻划龙纹，通体罩施透明青蓝色青釉，即天蓝釉（tianlan）。本研究采用多维度研究方法：对器物形制、浮雕纹饰、器底与年号款识进行宏观分析；运用仪器测色法（RGB、HSV、CIELab色彩空间）鉴定该釉料所属的天蓝青釉范畴；通过显微观测确认釉料内的晶体包裹体、相分离的铅-硅-钾（Pb-Si-K）畴结构以及结构色效应；并与北京故宫博物院、台北故宫博物院著录的御窑藏品及主流拍卖图录中的同类器物开展对比研究。
