Air samples from the Amazonian atmosphere

Biological particles suspended in the atmosphere have a crucial role in the dynamics of the biosphere underneath. In order to identify airborne fungal and plant material above the Amazon forest, air samples were taken at 300 meters above the canopy in central Amazonia and analyzed with high-throughput DNA sequencing techniques.悬浮于大气中的生物颗粒物，对下层生物圈的动态过程具有关键作用。为识别亚马逊森林上空大气中的真菌与植物源物质，研究人员在亚马孙中部地区的林冠层上方300米处采集了空气样本，并采用高通量DNA测序（high-throughput DNA sequencing）技术对样本进行了分析。
