This dataset contains oxygen profile measurements from Pensacola Beach, 2010-2014. Three oxygen profiles were measured with microsensors in order to assess the change in oxygen concentration in the oil contaminated beach during hot, warm, and cold periods of the year. Immediately after the excavation of one trench segment in the oil contaminated beach, O2 optode sensors (Presens fiberoptodes encased in hypodermic syringe needles with fiber tip protectors) were pushed approximately 10 cm horizontally into the sand at 5 cm depth intervals for the determination of O2 in the pore space. Profiles were measured from the surface to 50 cm depth. Despite the protection, sensors could typically not measure more than one profile and then had to be replaced.
