DNA Zoo Australia

The DNA Zoo [https://www.dnazoo.org/] collection is relevant to a broad research base within or across disciplines and/or domains. DNA Zoo is collaboration between academic labs and zoos across the world. We have been working on developing and deploying new methods for genome assembly that combine Hi-C - a protocol for mapping genome folding in 3D - and DNA sequencing. The DNA Zoo project will continuously be generating large volumes of next-gen sequencing data (in addition to existing datasets that have already been generated) on a petabyte scale. Current and future datasets are of high quality and conform to domain-relevant measures such as completeness, coverage, and resolution. Current datasets are being processed and analysed on Pawsey for the purpose of creating high resolution genome assemblies; the same will be done with the new data.

DNA Zoo（https://www.dnazoo.org/）数据集库适配跨多学科及研究领域的广泛科研需求。DNA Zoo是全球学术实验室与动物园共同开展的合作项目。本团队长期致力于开发并部署结合Hi-C（一种用于绘制基因组三维折叠图谱的实验技术）与DNA测序的新型基因组组装方法。除已生成的现有数据集外，DNA Zoo项目还将持续产出拍字节（PB）级别的海量下一代测序数据。当前及未来的数据集均具备高品质，并符合基因组学领域相关的质量评估标准，包括完整性、覆盖度与分辨率。目前现有数据集正依托Pawsey超级计算中心开展处理与分析工作，以构建高分辨率基因组组装结果，后续新增数据也将沿用相同的处理流程。
