Temporal Dynamics of the Barley Seed Microbiome: A Meta-omics Perspective

We sequenced microbial DNA extracted from barley seed samples of the 'Kadie' cultivar. All samples were cultivated in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. A total of 8 samples were collected at distinct post-harvest storage time points: 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months. This sequencing effort aims to provide insights into the microbial communities associated with barley seeds over time, and to understand any potential changes in these communities as the seeds are stored.

本研究对‘Kadie’品种大麦种子样品中提取的微生物脱氧核糖核酸（DNA）进行了测序。所有供试样品均种植于南非西开普省。本次研究共采集8份于收获后不同储存时间节点（3个月、6个月及9个月）获取的样品。本测序工作旨在解析随时间推移与大麦种子相关的微生物群落，并阐明种子储存过程中这些群落可能发生的潜在变化。
