Four men wearing hats and shirts with rolled up sleeves sit on the front porch of the lightly-colored post office while two others sit behind a tree on the porch on the side of the building on the left. The main entrance of the building is just behind the first four men with a poster for the National Rifle Association just to the right. Many large windows on the right overlook another tree just outside while more trees can be seen hanging over the shingled roof. "The timbers were hewn on a flat a block away. This building, excepting the roof, dates from the 1850's".
