The sales of aluminum gusset plate products are influenced by regional economic structure, industrial composition and other relevant factors. Therefore, data collection and organization are carried out with provinces as the statistical segmentation intervals. This dataset is developed by collecting and analyzing historical order data of aluminum gusset plate products from users in Sichuan Province, aiming to understand local consumer spending patterns for this product, classify consumers into consumption tiers, and provide data support for the wholesale and retail industries of related products to formulate procurement and sales strategies. It also aims to better deliver personalized products and services to consumers, enable enterprises to accurately grasp market dynamics, and enhance the sales competitiveness of the industry.
1. Data Collection: Sort out the consumption records of aluminum gusset plate products from users in Sichuan Province from the database, with selected fields including: order ID, order date, sales province, customer name, product name, detailed product description, and statistical year.
2. Data Processing: Based on the statistical year:
a. First, sum up the transaction amounts of all orders related to a single customer using the SUM function to obtain the customer's total consumption amount (the value of this field is the cumulative sum of all orders placed by the customer). Calculate the total annual sales amount (in RMB), where the specific year is determined by the fields within the dataset.
b. Customer consumption proportion = (Customer's total consumption amount / Total annual sales amount) * 100%. The calculation results shall be rounded and retained to two decimal places.
c. Rank the user consumption proportions in descending order, and classify consumers using the ABCDEF tiering method: assign "Tier A Consumption" to users with a proportion >= 1%; assign "Tier B Consumption" to users with a proportion in the range [0.8%, 1%); assign "Tier C Consumption" to users with a proportion in the range [0.6%, 0.8%); assign "Tier D Consumption" to users with a proportion in the range [0.4%, 0.6%); assign "Tier E Consumption" to users with a proportion in the range [0.3%, 0.4%); assign "Tier F Consumption" to users with a proportion < 0.3%. (All data in the dataset are valid consumption records, so there are no cases where the proportion is 0 or negative.)
3. Data Application:
- Tier A Consumption: Establish a dedicated customer relationship management (CRM) team to maintain close one-on-one communication with these customers;
- Tier B Consumption: Push personalized product recommendations based on their consumption history;
- Tier C Consumption: Recommend high-cost-performance product combinations to stimulate their consumption;
- For Tier D and other tiered users: Develop broad user personas and build large-scale regional user analysis models.
