Metatranscriptomic sequencing of fecal samples from Antarctic birds

This study aimed to identify zoonotic viruses in the South Shetland Islands in the Antarctic summer 2023 focusing on different bird species in the region. RNA from fecal samples was extracted and sequenced on Illumina platform.
