Tattoo Coverage and Personality.sav

This study used the alternative DSM-5 hierarchical model of personality disorders to compare the personalities of individuals with and without tattoos. A sample of 132 people from Cyprus answered questions about tattoo body coverage and personality traits based on the PID-5-BF. Of the participants, 76 (57.6%) said they had at least one tattoo, 51 (38.6%) said they had none, and five did not reply. According to the results, people with tattoos tend to have dysfunctional personality traits compared to the general population without tattoos. Specifically, people with tattoos had significant differences in the areas of disinhibition and antagonism with a large-sized effect, and both of these traits were significant predictors of tattoo body coverage.

本研究采用替代版《精神障碍诊断与统计手册第五版（DSM-5）》人格障碍层级模型，对比了有纹身与无纹身个体的人格特征。研究招募了来自塞浦路斯的132名受试者，令其填写关于纹身身体覆盖面积以及基于《DSM-5人格量表简版（PID-5-BF）》的人格特质相关问卷。在所有受试者中，76人（57.6%）表示自身拥有至少一处纹身，51人（38.6%）表示无任何纹身，另有5人未回复问卷。研究结果显示，与无纹身的普通人群相比，纹身人群往往表现出更多功能失调性人格特质。具体而言，纹身人群在去抑制（disinhibition）与对抗性（antagonism）维度上存在显著差异，且效应量较大；这两类特质均能显著预测个体的纹身覆盖面积。
