Photography of the Kerguelen Islands (Field Mission, Nov 2024 – Jan 2025)

This dataset gathers a series of panoramic and standard photographs collected during the field campaign conducted on the Kerguelen Islands in the austral summer of 2024–2025 (IPEV program 136). The images were acquired using a panoramic camera (Insta360 X5) and a reflex camera (Canon EOS 450D, 18–250 mm IS lens) during pedestrian surveys across several sites of the archipelago. The photographs provide a visual characterization of the five radiometric landscape classes identified from MODIS NDVI time series. Foor representative images are presented for each landscape type, illustrating the diversity of habitats and environmental conditions associated with them. They constitute a representative sample of the environments surveyed during the mission, although some habitat diversity at the scale of the archipelago may not be fully captured. This dataset aims to document and validate the outcomes of the satellite-based analysis, providing a field perspective on the organization and heterogeneity of Kerguelen Islands landscapes.

本数据集汇集了2024–2025年南半球夏季在凯尔盖朗群岛（Kerguelen Islands）开展的野外考察期间采集的一系列全景与标准摄影照片，相关考察隶属于IPEV 136号计划。本次影像通过全景相机（Insta360 X5）与单反相机（佳能EOS 450D，搭配18–250 mm IS镜头），在徒步遍历该群岛多个考察点位的过程中采集获得。这些照片可直观表征基于中分辨率成像光谱仪（MODIS）归一化植被指数（NDVI）时间序列识别出的五类辐射景观类别。每类景观类型均配有四张代表性照片，用以展示对应生境及其关联环境条件的多样性。尽管该群岛尺度下的部分生境多样性未能完全被涵盖，但本数据集仍构成了本次考察所涉环境的代表性样本。本数据集旨在为基于卫星的分析结果提供文档记录与验证，并从实地视角展现凯尔盖朗群岛景观的空间格局与异质性。
