SHIFTS IN HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION PATTERNS IN UZBEKISTAN: DRIVERS AND EMERGING TRENDS

This article examines the structural transformation of household consumption expenditures in Uzbekistan. As the nation undergoes significant economic liberalization and integration into global markets, the composition of household spending is shifting. By analyzing the transition from subsistence-oriented consumption toward service-based and digital-driven expenditure, this study identifies the primary socioeconomic drivers of these trends and provides recommendations for sustainable policy development. The analysis demonstrates a clear move toward a more sophisticated and modern economic framework, driven by rising real income, urbanization, and rapid digital transformation. The study concludes that maintaining macroeconomic stability and enhancing financial literacy are essential for ensuring inclusive growth and long-term improvements in the population's quality of life.
