The purpose of this study was to determine, at a global level, the transcriptomic responses of human gingival keratinocytes to T. denticola infection to better understand the disruption of normal barrier immunity that leads to the development of periodontal disease. Overall design: Here, human immortalized gingival keratinocyte (HIGK) cells were infected with T. denticola and RNAseq was performed to compared transcriptome responses of T. denticola infected cell to uninfected HIGK cells.

本研究旨在从全球层面解析人牙龈角质细胞感染齿垢密螺旋体（T. denticola）后的转录组应答反应，以更好地理解导致牙周疾病发生的正常屏障免疫破坏机制。实验设计概述：本研究将人永生化牙龈角质细胞（HIGK）感染T. denticola，并通过RNA测序（RNAseq）比较感染该菌的细胞与未感染HIGK细胞的转录组应答差异。
