The iron and sulfur geochemistry was investigated on squeeze cake samples retrieved from deep biosphere sediments during ODP Leg, Demerara Rise, southern North Atlantic. Vertical profiles from 5 sites were analyzed using different chemical extraction methods followed by spectrophotometric geochemical analyses and organic sulfur using elemental analysis, to understand the carbon-iron-sulfur interactions during and black shale formation and upon diagenesis in the times after.
本研究针对北大西洋南部德马拉隆起(Demerara Rise)海域大洋钻探计划(Ocean Drilling Program, ODP)航次所获取的深部生物圈沉积物压榨饼样品,开展铁与硫地球化学特征探究。研究对5个钻探站位的垂直剖面样品采用多种化学萃取方法进行前处理,随后结合分光光度法地球化学分析与元素分析法测定有机硫组分,以此阐明黑色页岩形成过程及后期成岩作用阶段的碳-铁-硫相互作用机制。
