ReN2 is Ilmenite-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Re6+ is bonded to six equivalent N3- atoms to form distorted edge-sharing ReN6 pentagonal pyramids. All Re–N bond lengths are 2.12 Å. N3- is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to three equivalent Re6+ and one N3- atom. The N–N bond length is 1.35 Å.
ReN₂ 具备钛铁矿(Ilmenite)型晶体结构,结晶于六方晶系P6₃/mmc空间群(space group),整体为三维框架结构。六价铼阳离子(Re⁶⁺)与六个等价的三价氮阴离子(N³⁻)配位,形成畸变的共棱ReN₆五角锥。所有Re–N键长均为2.12埃(Å)。三价氮阴离子(N³⁻)以矩形跷跷板型配位几何,与三个等价的六价铼阳离子(Re⁶⁺)及一个三价氮阴离子成键,N–N键长为1.35埃(Å)。
