Immune cells in ocular allergy

The datasheet, contains dendritic cell density at 5 locations of the eye, corneal centre, inferior whorl, corneal periphery, corneal limbus, and bulbar conjunctiva. dendritic cell morphology also at the mentioned locations assessed for the cell body size, presence of dendrites, presence of long dendrites, and presence of thick dendrites. All measurements were undertaken using in vivo confocal microscopy. Data are for two groups, allergy, and control group and the ocular allergy signs and symptoms were also measured by the Aston University Allergy Questionnaire and signs assessed by the slit lamp. Differences between allergy and control groups were assessed for the measured variables.

本数据集记录了眼部5个部位的树突状细胞（dendritic cell）密度，涉及部位分别为角膜中央、角膜下涡、角膜周边部、角膜缘及球结膜。同时还针对上述部位的树突状细胞形态特征开展评估，评估指标涵盖细胞胞体大小、树突存在情况、长树突存在情况以及粗树突存在情况。所有测量工作均采用活体共聚焦显微镜（in vivo confocal microscopy）完成。本数据集包含过敏组与对照组两组样本，眼部过敏的体征与症状通过阿斯顿大学过敏问卷（Aston University Allergy Questionnaire）进行评估，眼部体征则借助裂隙灯（slit lamp）检查完成。针对所有测量变量，本研究对比分析了过敏组与对照组之间的差异。
