This data is for the paper that explores the role of relationships in explaining giving. The data was collected using social discounting experiments. Mixed-effect multi-level regression modelling is applied to determine how characteristics of benefactor-beneficiary relationships contribute to differences in giving, reporting that beyond the importance of kinship, psychosocial closeness and socio-economic inequality, communication and gender dynamics matter in giving. The current data also reveals the complexity of the subject-recipient relationship in social discounting experiments. The stata data file and do files are uploaded here
本数据集配套于一篇探究关系在阐释捐赠行为中作用的研究论文。数据通过社会折扣(social discounting)实验采集获取。本研究采用混合效应多层回归建模方法,分析施助者-受助者的关系特征如何导致捐赠行为的差异;研究结果表明,除亲缘关系、心理社会亲密度与社会经济不平等的重要影响外,沟通交流与性别互动机制同样对捐赠行为产生作用。本数据集同时揭示了社会折扣实验中施助者与受助者关系的复杂性。本次上传内容包含Stata数据文件与do文件。
