The Ray Project - Shark, Skate and Ray Egg case Records

This dataset is comprised of the variety of skate and ray egg casings found on Wexford beaches through survey work. It includes the number of egg casings found from each species that has been identified in the process of the examination of the casings. The species found include Small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicular), Thornback ray (Raja clavata), Small-eyed ray (Raja microocellata), Blonde ray (Raja brachyura), Spotted ray (Raja montagui), Undulate ray (Raja undulata) and Cuckoo ray (Leucoraja naevus).

本数据集依托实地调查工作，收录了在韦克斯福德海滩上发现的多种鳐与魟（skate and ray）的卵鞘。数据集包含经卵鞘鉴定流程确认的各对应物种的卵鞘检出数量。本次鉴定出的物种包括：小斑猫鲨（Small-spotted catshark，Scyliorhinus canicular）、棘鳐（Thornback ray，Raja clavata）、小眼鳐（Small-eyed ray，Raja microocellata）、淡黄鳐（Blonde ray，Raja brachyura）、斑鳐（Spotted ray，Raja montagui）、波状鳐（Undulate ray，Raja undulata）以及云纹鳐（Cuckoo ray，Leucoraja naevus）。
