Monitoring of the abundance and activity of Arctic Foxes in the Hudson Bay Lowlands

We are monitoring dens of Arctic Foxes through a helicopter based aerial survey. We find dens through systematic searches along the east coast of Hudson Bay going south from Cape Churchill. All dens detected are positioned with a GPS and a sample of active dens are revisited to collect prey remains to assess their diet. Data are analyzed to determine detection probability and occupancy rate. ** If data are downloaded and used for analyses, it would greatly be appreciated that the principal investigator be informed.
