The MTDDH dataset for quality evaluation of pelvic X-ray and diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) is one of the most common hip joint diseases in pediatric orthopedics. AI-powered automatic diagnostic tools can assist clinicians in diagnosing DDH. We constructed a dataset named MTDDH, which consists of two sub-datasets. Dataset 1 comprises 1,250 pelvic X-ray images, annotated with four distinct regions for quality assessment of pelvic X-rays and eight keypoints supporting DDH diagnosis. Dataset 2 includes 906 pelvic X-ray images, annotated only with 8 keypoints relevant to auxiliary DDH diagnosis. MTDDH is the first dataset specifically designed for quality assessment of pelvic X-rays. It also provides the most comprehensive set of 8 keypoints (usually 6 keypoints) to aid DDH diagnosis, thereby meeting the need for more precise diagnostic accuracy.
