Proteomics study of a human thyrotoxicosis mode

In this study we experimentally induced thyrotoxicosis in healthy volunteers to explore the effects of thyroxine excess on the plasma proteome. 16 healthy male subjects were sampled at baseline, 4 and 8 weeks under 250 µg/d thyroxine p.o., as well as 4 and 8 weeks after stopping the application.

本研究通过对健康志愿者开展实验性甲状腺毒症（thyrotoxicosis）诱导，以探究甲状腺素（thyroxine）过量对血浆蛋白质组（plasma proteome）的影响。本研究纳入16名健康男性受试者，分别于基线状态、每日以250微克剂量口服甲状腺素（p.o.）的第4周及第8周，以及停药后第4周和第8周四个时间点采集样本。
