These data are measured electrical resistivity of solid and liquid iron from 14 to 24 GPa. Our data show that the electrical resistivity along the pressure-dependent melting boundary of iron is constant and are used to extrapolate the electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity and heat flow under the Earth's core conditions. These results provide strong support for thermal convection as a geodynamo energy source.
