This dataset is the FAO Yearbook of Forest Products 1985, which compiles basic statistical data on forest products from all countries and regions around the world with annual updates. It includes annual data on forest product production volumes, import and export trade volumes and trade values, as well as annual trade flows and average unit values for certain forest products. The statistical information in this yearbook is primarily sourced from data collected by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) through annual forest product questionnaires submitted by countries or official publications. In the absence of official data, the FAO will make the most appropriate estimates based on existing resources as much as possible. The primary objective of this dataset is to collect production and trade data via the joint forest product questionnaire, respond to the requests of member countries of partner organizations for rationalizing the collection and dissemination channels of forest sector data, and enhance the consistency among forestry statistical publications released by various institutions.
