This protocol describes a HIV neutralisation assay in the microtiter plate format, that measures reduction in virus infectious titer mediated by exposure to polyclonal or monoclonal reagents. Virus infection in donor PHA-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) is assessed by quantitative ELISA of HIV-1 p24 antigen in PBMC culture supernatants.
