The bacterium Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc) was used as a DNA source for Bgl3 amplification, a gene encodes for a β-glucosidase. Primers’ design was carried out using an existing Pcc gene-sequences, for genomic DNA amplification and Escherichia coli clone transformation using pTAC-MAT-2 as an expression vector.
