The deep sea represents the largely underexplored part of marine ecosystem. Our understanding of how deep-sea animals adapt to harsh environments is largely hindered by the lack of omics resources from deep-sea animals. Here, we generated the first comprehensive transcriptomic resources for a deep-sea limpet belonging to the genus of Bathyacmaea.

深海是海洋生态系统中尚未被充分探索的区域。目前，由于缺乏深海动物的组学资源，我们对深海动物如何适应极端环境的认知受到了极大阻碍。本研究首次生成了隶属于深海帽贝属（Bathyacmaea）的一种深海帽贝的综合转录组资源。
