Profiling the gut microbiome of metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 knockout mouse model of schizophrenia

Since the metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGlu5) knockout mouse is a preclinical model of schizophrenia (SZ), in the present study we performed gut microbiome profiling of mGlu5 knockout (KO) and wild-type (WT) mice by 16S rRNA sequencing of bacterial genomic DNA from fecal samples.

鉴于代谢型谷氨酸受体5（metabotropic glutamate receptor 5, mGlu5）基因敲除小鼠是精神分裂症（schizophrenia, SZ）的临床前模型，本研究通过对粪便样本中的细菌基因组DNA开展16S rRNA测序，对mGlu5基因敲除（knockout, KO）与野生型（wild-type, WT）小鼠进行肠道微生物组谱分析。
