Goals are to drege and survey along the bonin arc in quiest o fsilicic rocks symptomatic of early interarc basin development, investigate central basin fault in vicinity of taiwam, studies off northeast coast of luzon where an arc reversal is suspected, and heat flow of the philippine sea and bonin arc.

本研究的目标包括：沿小笠原弧（Bonin Arc）开展疏浚与勘测工作，以搜寻可作为弧间盆地早期发育指示性特征的硅质岩；调查台湾附近的中央盆地断层；在疑似存在弧反转现象的吕宋岛（Luzon）东北海域开展相关研究；以及针对菲律宾海（Philippine Sea）与小笠原弧开展热流相关研究。
