In the field of microalgae culture, the world still exploits wild strains, deposited during decades in dedicated culture collections. The concept of selecting strains for particular purposes is slowly emerging. We took advantage of the availability of wild type (T-Iso-Wt) and selected (T-Iso-S2M2) strains of the economically and ecologically important haptophyte Isochrysis affinis galbana (T-Iso) to conduct a transcriptomic study of the molecular variations produced during the selection program.

在微藻培养领域，当前全球仍多沿用数十年间保藏于专用藻种库的野生藻株。针对特定用途筛选藻株的理念正逐步兴起。本研究借助兼具经济与生态价值的定鞭藻门（haptophyte）物种球等鞭金藻（Isochrysis affinis galbana，简称T-Iso）的野生型（wild type，T-Iso-Wt）与选育株（T-Iso-S2M2）的现有藻株，针对该选育计划中产生的分子变异开展转录组学研究。
