Taxonomic information for Oxalis is presented sensu Salter (1944). Species described since Salter (1944) or undescribed species are assigned a placement in inverted commas, based on the original description or on a presumed placement according to morphology. Equivalent information for previously sequenced taxa is found in Oberlander, K.C., Dreyer, L.L. & Bellstedt, D.U. (2011) Molecular phylogenetics and origins of southern African Oxalis.
