Results from a bioenergetics study that explores the effect of wetland mitigation quality on waterfowl forage availability and energetic carrying capacity (ECC) across five mitigation wetlands in the Lake Champlain Valley (New York, USA). Data includes vegetation and macroinvertebrate sampling results that occurred from August 15th - September 15th, 2023. Variables measured include plant species, invertebrate class, percent cover, dry mass (g), and number of seed heads. Additional site characteristics were recorded including wetland cover type classification, cover type area, and coordinates.
