FRAM strait octopus observations with towed camera: MSM95, MSM108, PS126

The Ocean Floor Observation and Bathymetry System (OFOBS) (Purser et al, 2019) has been used repeatedly to image areas of the deep sea seafloor as part of the FRAM HAUSGARTEN time series observatory. In this dataset, all images collected during the marine expeditions MSM95 (Purser et al., 2020), MSM108 (Soltwedel et al., 2022) and PS126 (Soltwedel, 2021) were inspected for the presence or absence of octopus. This dataset contains every image taken with the OFOBS system under standard operations within which an octopus was observed.

海底观测与测深系统（Ocean Floor Observation and Bathymetry System，缩写OFOBS）（Purser等，2019）作为弗拉姆豪斯加滕（FRAM HAUSGARTEN）时间序列观测站的组成部分，已被多次应用于深海海底区域成像作业。本数据集针对MSM95航次（Purser等，2020）、MSM108航次（Soltwedel等，2022）及PS126航次（Soltwedel，2021）的海洋科考所采集的全部图像开展了章鱼存在性筛查，收录了所有在标准作业流程下使用OFOBS系统拍摄到章鱼的图像。
