Polyphenol oxidases (PPOs) are mainly chloroplast localized oxidoreductases. Their physiological roles in healthy cells and in plant reproduction remain unexplored.Down-regulating expression of PPOs in Nicatiana.tabacum (NtPPO-silence lines (NtPPO-RNAi) and NtPPO-co-suprression lines (cosp)) led to abnormal pollen prerformance. Transcriptome sequencing of pollen at 6-7 development stage of NtPPOs-silence lines was performed to aid explore the regulating mechanism of NtPPO on pollen prerformance.
多酚氧化酶(Polyphenol oxidases, PPOs)是一类主要定位于叶绿体的氧化还原酶。目前其在健康细胞及植物生殖过程中的生理功能仍未被探明。在烟草(Nicotiana tabacum)中下调PPOs的表达,构建得到NtPPO沉默株系(NtPPO-RNAi)与NtPPO共抑制株系(cosp)后,植株出现了花粉发育异常的表型。为探究NtPPO调控花粉发育表现的分子机制,本研究对发育第6至7阶段的NtPPO沉默株系的花粉开展了转录组测序(Transcriptome sequencing)。
