Dataset including Romanian National Catalogue of Medicine Prices (CANAMED) and National Medicine Discontinuation Register (ANMDMR)

This dataset contains structured historical data extracted from the Romanian National Catalogue of Medicine Prices (CANAMED) and the National Register of Medicine Discontinuations published by the Romanian National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (ANMDMR).
The dataset includes multiple yearly versions of CANAMED files covering selected years between 2008 and 2024, as well as an official registry documenting medicine discontinuations reported in Romania. Together, these data provide a longitudinal perspective on regulated medicine prices and market availability within the Romanian pharmaceutical system.
CANAMED represents the official list of approved medicines and their maximum regulated prices for the Romanian market. The national regulatory authority publishes a list of medicines that are temporarily or permanently unavailable. This list is kept in the discontinuation register.
These data enable research on pharmaceutical pricing policies, medicine availability, shortages, regulatory changes, and health system dynamics in Romania.
