Findings of the Desk Research Analysis Exploring Research Data Governance Activities

The study relied on the Data Governance Activities Model proposed by Alhassan et al. (2016), which was also utilized in their subsequent study (Alhassan et al., 2018). This model grouped all data collection, analysis, and findings on RDG activities. The findings from the desk research were employed to form an initial understanding of RDG practices implemented among leading RPOs worldwide and gather background information on the topics under consideration. Given that among the study’s objectives was to gain a deeper understanding of how RDG is executed in practice, following the approach used by Alhassan et al. (2016; 2018) was essential. This groundwork enabled the creation of survey instruments designed to enhance the understanding of RDG implementation within Malaysia RPOs.

本研究依托Alhassan等人（2016）提出的数据治理活动模型（Data Governance Activities Model），该模型亦被其后续研究（Alhassan et al., 2018）所采用。该模型囊括了所有围绕研究数据治理（Research Data Governance，RDG）活动的相关数据收集、分析工作及研究发现。本研究通过案头调研获取的结论，初步明确了全球领先研究执行机构（Research Performing Organizations，RPOs）所推行的RDG实践模式，并收集了本次研究主题的相关背景信息。鉴于本研究的目标之一是深入理解RDG在实际场景中的落地执行方式，沿用Alhassan等人（2016；2018）的研究方法至关重要。此项前期筹备工作为开发适用于马来西亚RPOs的RDG实施情况调研工具奠定了基础，旨在深化对马来西亚RPOs内部RDG实施现状的认知。
