Core overview images of IODP Hole 389-M0109A@en

Collection of core overview image reports from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 389 (Hawaiian Drowned Reefs). The offshore phase of this expedition took place between 2023-08-31 and 2023-10-31 onboard multipurpose vessel MMA Valour sailing from and to Barbers Point Harbor, Hawai'i, USA, followed by the onshore phase from 2025-02-06 to 2025-02-26 at the Bremen Core Repository (BCR) hosted at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen. Core overview images reports for each core are automatically produced by the mDIS (mobile Drilling Information System) using the archive half line scan image of available sections once uploaded to the systems' file management. Line scan images were obtained during the onshore phase from the cleaned fresh cut surfaces directly after longitudinal splitting of core sections into work and archive halves. For production of core overview reports the curated cropped images of the respective archive halves were used. File naming follows standard IODP file naming convention: Exp-SiteHole-CoreCoretype. 本数据集为国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP）389次航次（夏威夷淹没礁课题）上述钻孔的岩心概览图像报告合集。本次航次的海上作业阶段于2023年8月31日至2023年10月31日开展，作业船舶为多用途船舶“MMA Valour”，往返航点为美国夏威夷巴伯斯角港；后续陆上作业阶段于2025年2月6日至2025年2月26日在设于不来梅大学海洋环境科学中心（MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences）的不来梅岩心库（Bremen Core Repository, BCR）进行。每块岩心的岩心概览图像报告均由移动钻探信息系统（mobile Drilling Information System, mDIS）自动生成：当可用的岩心存档半段线扫描图像上传至系统文件管理模块后，系统将基于此类图像自动生成对应报告。岩心线扫描图像采集于陆上作业阶段，采集对象为岩心段纵向劈分为工作半段与存档半段后、经清洁处理的新鲜切割表面。生成岩心概览报告时，将使用对应存档半段经过精选裁剪后的图像。文件命名遵循国际大洋发现计划标准命名规范：航次-站位钻孔-岩心号+岩心类型。例如，文件389-M0109A-06R.pdf代表本次389航次M0109A钻孔的6R号岩心报告（其中R代表回转取心方法）。[…]
