The Greek Banking System in 2009

In the study “The Greek Banking System in 2009”, the Greek Banking Association analyses the structure and the operating conditions of the modern Greek banking system, its contribution in the Greek economy and society and the international presence of Greek banks in the countries of South-eastern and North-eastern Europe, Turkey, Egypt and the Republic of South Africa. It detects the causes of the recent financial crisis, its impact on the Greek banking system and the further developments at the National, European and International level.
