North Male Atoll is located in the central-eastern region of the Maldives, as a constituent part of the Kaafu Administrative Atoll, with its geographic coordinates ranging from 4°10'9"N to 4°41'33"N latitude and 73°21'4"E to 73°43'20"E longitude. It borders Gaafaru Atoll to the north, Rasdhoo Atoll to the southwest, and South Male Atoll to the south. The atoll consists of 100 islands and sandbanks, including: Villingili, Male, Funadhoo, Dhiffushi, Dhonidhoo, Kudavattaru, Fidhinfunru, Hulhumalé, Kurumba, Aarah, Faru, Finolhas, Kanduiyili, Kudabandos, Bodubandos, Baros, Lankanfinolhu, Lankanfushi, Ihuru, Vabbinfaru, Thulagiri, Himmafushi, Thamburu, Girifushi, Vabboahura, Kanuhura, Kudahura, Hura, Kanifinholhu, Royfulhi, Gasfinolhu, Nakacichafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Virigili Mathaidhoo, Boduiti, Dhoofushi, Meemu, Asdu, Embudhoo, Maadfinolhu, Summer Island, Makunudu, Eriyadu, Helengeli, Aakirifulhi, Kaggu, Olahali, and Hulhule Island. The largest island is Hulhule Island, covering an area of 2.19 km². The total land area of all islands in North Male Atoll is 13.40 km², with a coastline length of 154.41 km. This dataset was developed based on Google Earth remote sensing imagery and relevant geographic information data. The data is stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with a compressed size of 342 KB.
