本数据集针对植物物种相对盖度开展测定，测定样地包含两类区域：一是位于图利克野外站（Toolik Field Station）的北极长期生态研究（Arctic LTER）实验样地，涵盖湿润酸性丛状苔原（tussock tundra）、湿润非酸性丛状苔原与干石楠苔原（heath tundra）三种生境；二是萨加万尼克托克河（Sagavanirktok River）沿岸的地形序列样地（toposequence plots），包含丛状苔原与石楠苔原两类生境。
