Home experiences of preschoolers including their activities at home and parental play beliefs were measured in order to assess if these experiences have a relationship with the development of executive function (inhibitory control, shifting, and visual spacial working memory included). The home activity measured includes children’s frequency of engagement in different activities in their home: academics-related activities, spending meal time with family, breakfast at home, pretend play, motor play, fine motor activities, arts and crafts, solitary play, peer play, and sports and physical activity. Parental play beliefs was also measured using a scale. The data was collected from Ethiopia from July to September of 2017.
本研究通过测量学龄前儿童的家庭体验(含其居家活动与父母的游戏教养观念),旨在探究上述体验与执行功能(executive function,涵盖抑制控制inhibitory control、认知转换shifting及视觉空间工作记忆visual spacial working memory)发展间的关联。本次测量的居家活动维度包括儿童参与各类家庭活动的频率,具体涉及学业相关活动、与家人共进餐食时段、居家早餐、假装游戏、大动作游戏、精细动作活动、艺术手工活动、独自游戏、同伴游戏以及体育与身体活动。父母的游戏教养观念亦通过量表完成测量。本数据集采集于2017年7月至9月的埃塞俄比亚。
