Nothofagus pumilio Transcriptome or Gene expression

The goal of this project is to study the effect of high temperatures on global gene expression in Nothofagus pumilio, the most important tree of Patagonian forest, the southernmost woody ecosystem of the planet. We are also interested in temperature susceptibility on different times of the day. Genomic resources are very scarce for the whole genus, but characterizing these trees'' response to high temperatures is of utmost importance in a context of climate change.
