Local Lists and Party Organizations, 1995

This survey is a follow-up of the survey on the local election campaigns which was carried out in connection with the local election in 1993 (DDA-1832: Local Election Campaigns/Constituency Organizations, 1993) and it forms part of the research project 'Det kommunale lederskab' (Local Government). In 1995 focus was put on how the local lists and party organizations function when they are not engaged in an election campaign. # The survey consists of two part-surveys: a survey of the local lists and a survey of the local party organizations, each with a separate questionnaire. # The survey had two purposes. First, the purpose was to obtain information on the activity level of the local lists and party organizations when they are not engaged in an election campaign. Secondly, the purpose was to gain knowledge of the chairmen of the local organizations. The questions may be divided into 4 main groups: #- The present situation of the list/party organization. #- The interplay between the list/party organization and its # representatives in the municipal council. #- The most important tasks of the list/party organization, # including how influence is sought in the municipality. #- Social background questions, including the personal work # performance of the chairman in the list/party organization
