Dataset for: Formation of rapidly sinking, oil associated marine snow

Roller table experiments, which were conducted between 2011 and 2013, investigated conditions resulting in the formation of different types of oil-associated marine snow. Six marine snow formation experiments with 9-10 treatments each tested the formation of marine snow in the presence or absence of different oils, Corexit, phytoplankton under different conditions. Marine oil snow formation was monitored for 66 days in cases where no marine oil snow formed.

本数据集对应的滚台实验（Roller table experiments）于2011至2013年间开展，旨在探究可形成不同类型油关联海洋雪（marine snow）的环境条件。共计设置6组海洋雪形成实验，每组包含9至10种处理条件，分别测试不同环境下，存在或缺失不同油品、柯蒂斯分散剂（Corexit）以及浮游植物时的海洋雪形成情况。对于未形成海洋油雪的实验组，其油雪形成过程被连续监测了66天。
