Risk of elephant raids does not influence farmers crop choices in the eastern Okavango Panhandle of Botswana

Elephant crop raiding is a major concern in the eastern Okavango Panhandle, Botswana. A questionnaire was drawn and administered by interviewing randomly selected subsistence farmers mainly to understand farmers’ perspectives on planting strategies, crop choice and elephant crop raiding. The objective of the study was to evaluate whether elephant raiding influences the choice of a particular crop and cropping method.

大象盗食农作物（elephant crop raiding）是博茨瓦纳奥卡万戈狭长带东部地区的主要关切问题。本研究设计并实施调查问卷，通过访谈随机选取的自给自足农户，主要旨在了解农户在种植策略、作物选择以及大象盗食农作物方面的看法与态度。本研究的目标为评估大象盗食农作物是否会影响特定作物的选择及种植模式。
