Salmonella outbreak investigation

Salmonella is a foodborne pathogen implicated in food-related outbreaks. In this project Salmonella strains involved in a local outbreak were analised by genomic analysis using whole genome sequencing in order to study the characteristics of the isolates. It is important to make the correct tracing of the strains involved in outbreaks for epidemiological surveillance.

沙门氏菌（Salmonella）是一类可引发食源性暴发事件的食源性致病菌。本项目针对某次本地暴发事件中涉及的沙门氏菌菌株，采用全基因组测序（whole genome sequencing）开展基因组分析，以解析该类分离株的特征。对于流行病学监测而言，精准溯源暴发相关菌株具有至关重要的意义。
