Abstract: To facilitate accurate tracing of the extent of aeolian and oceanic transport of NZ dust, this dataset presents major/trace element and Sr-Nd-Pb isotope ratios on 20 sediments from the major present-day dust and sediment producing regions of the South Island. Samples were size-separated using Stokes settling to obtain the <5 µm fraction, then digested using HF-HNO3.

摘要:为精准示踪新西兰(New Zealand,简称NZ)粉尘的风成与海洋搬运范围,本数据集收录了取自南岛当前主要粉尘及沉积物产出区的20份沉积物的常量/微量元素(major/trace element)与锶-钕-铅同位素比值(Sr-Nd-Pb isotope ratios)。样品采用斯托克斯沉降(Stokes settling)法进行粒度分选,获取<5微米(µm)组分,随后通过氢氟酸-硝酸(HF-HNO3)体系进行消解。
